Kidney function tests

Well, I was reminded yesterday that I never posted the results to our last tests Tyler had done. The urologist said there is no harm to the right kidney and it does function at 100% which is a huge praise. We will have another sonogram done in a few months to check that everything is still ok.  His blood pressure has been high at a few of our visits and we have to watch that closely. If it continues to run high we will remove the left cystic kidney.

Since our visit to the urologist, I have been to see our pediatrician.  He read the report of the sonogram to me and it stated that there was a very small cyst on the right kidney.  I was confused because this is not what the urologist had told me. So you better believe I called her that day! The nurse called me back and stated that she had in fact seen the very TINY cyst on his right kidney and was not worried about it. She said we would watch it and make sure no more form.  I am praising God that she is not worried and trying to remind myself of this each time I start to worry.  I really like Dr. Bush, our urologist, and have full confidence that if it was worth mentioning she would have told me about it at our last visit.  So, for now we are just moving forward with our daily lives. A few things that would be great to pray for are:

1. That the reflux Tyler has in his right kidney will resolve itself and cause no infections.
2. That the cyst in the right kidney will go away and he will never have any impaired function to that kidney.
3. That mom and dad will just relax and trust the Lord through all of this.

I really don't know how people who have no faith at all make it through life with kids. I have to constantly pray and trust God with Tyler's life, and it is a daily struggle! However, I am so glad that no matter how much I try to take control to protect Tyler from harm, God is always the one who ultimately takes care of him.  We love you all and are so excited for our trip to Memphis tomorrow to see so many people who Tyler hasn't met yet!
