Surgery on the way

Well, hello all. It has been a while since I posted anything. I figured it was time. I am sure over the next few months I will post more often since I will be sitting at home a lot! The surgery on my hip is scheduled for Jan 14, and I am to be at the hospital at 5am!! Sounds early, but I am so happy because that means I won't even be up long enough to notice I am NPO before they do the surgery. Today I had all of my pre-op labs drawn and I bought some things for the new place(by they way, we got put off until Friday to move). I am excited about our new home and once I am feeling better I plan to have people over.

Anyway, keep praying for Greg and I as we get ready to have this big change. In light of all the people I know who have life threatening diagnosis, I can't say I have much place to worry. Yet, Greg and I forget to trust in God all too often and allow ourselves to worry about the stupidest things (like learning to walk on crutches). I need patients. I need to trust God 100% through this process. I don't really want to be out of work for 2 months, but I guess God thinks I need a rest...
We will keep you updated on how things are going. Here is a link to a video that will show briefly what they will do in my surgery.

Some of you have already seen it. If you get sick easily, don't watch! It isn't that yucky, but I just feel the need to warn people. It has no sound but basically they check out the damaged tissue then they cut it away and drill down the femur head. Seems easy enough!
