Weekend in Memphis!

Happy Birthday to Katwom! Jenn and I drove to Memphis this past weekend to celebrate Katwom's birthday and to spend time with family before I begin school (August 19). We left on Thursday evening and were met by mom and Maggi waiting in the driveway around 10PM.

On Friday, we went to visit with Gro Gro Louise in the morning. For lunch, we just had to have some barbecue pizza from Garabaldi's! That afternoon, we spent time with Gro Gro Julia at Dad's pool. Later in the afternoon, Katwom and Ella came over to swim with us. Eric came in from Miami and we ate dinner together. Both Mom and Maggi also came over to Dad's house and we had great time!
Uncle GB is teaching Ella how to body board!

Greg loves seeing his favorite puppy dog in the entire world, Maggi! She was scared of the commotion in the water. She especially was bothered when Mimi got into the pool!

That's right, Mimi jumped off the side of the pool with Ella! Ella wanted everyone to jump off the side into the pool.

Dad and I spent time working a the pool pump after it encountered a leak. After several hours of working on it, we decided to just swim and play with Ella! One of her favorite games was to count do a number between 3 and 10, then scream "Jump" ask she plunged toward Uncle GB in the pool!

After an incredible time at Dad's, Jenn and I left to spend time with Suzie and Nathan at their house. We also got to visit with Dean, John, Jennifer, and John Matthew! Suzie had some delicious food, as always, and we continued to eat! We ended the night with Suzie's famous cup of cappuccino!

On Saturday, we spent time watching movies with mom at her house (which is tradition), then went shopping. Dad told me he had some extra white dress shirts that he couldn't wear, so we stopped by to pick those up. We went to pick Gro Gro Louise up to go meet Eric, Katwom, and Ella for dinner at Cracker Barrel.

On Sunday, we planned to go a visit Rob Mullins at Crossroads Baptist Church! However, I found out at the last minute that he was out of town at World Changers, so we decided to wait until next time. We are so excited about his new ministry and cannot wait to visit the next time! Eric, Katwom, and Ella met us at mom's house for lunch right before we left.

Jenn and I had such a wonderful time seeing everyone and look forward to the next visit...
