Everything is BIGGER in Texas

Well, when I say things are bigger in Texas I mean it. We are about to have some BIG changes in our growing family. Maybe you guessed it already! Greg got a job with Southwest Airlines in Dallas! I can not believe that we are moving to Dallas. Our little Brown will have to be taught the difference between the two UT's right away, because we don't want him/her confused.

I am sure you want all the details, and trust me so do Greg and I! We are waiting for the paperwork to all go through and that could take up to 2 weeks. Once that is done we are free to move down there. We plan to go in the next 2 weeks to look for apartments. A house will come eventually, but for now we just want to get our feet wet and see what the area is like. We are hoping to be somewhere in North/NW Dallas. Luckily, there is a guy at Southwest who will help us find a place to live. We hope to be moving down there in December sometime.

I can say that we are happy, scared, and a little sad only because it is far away from most of our family. One family we are super excited to be closer to is the Schmidts! Finally, we will be in a place we can hop in the car and take a weekend trip to visit if we want! So, with all the mixed emotions and things to do, you can imagine we are pretty stressed. Trying to give it all to God is hard when your mind is constantly reeling with the things that need to be done and questions that are still unanswered for us. However, we have never been more sure that this is the road God is having us walk down. So, we will keep the ball rolling and see where it leads us. I am thankful for a God that gives us peace in the midst of the storm. When Greg told me about this offer I probably cried for 30 minutes! Don't get me wrong I am excited, but I have never been more than a few hours car ride away from my family, with the exception of that one summer in SE Asia! Yet, in the middle of my tears I looked at Greg and said ,"I know God wants you to take this job. I know this is His plan at this time."

I know you will all be praying for us, and we appreciate and need your prayers. Here are a few ways you can pray specifically:

1. We can find an affordable place to live in a good and safe community.
2. I can find an OBGYN that will be as good as my current one. (this is going to be hard, because Dr. Joe is WONDERFUL)
3. Things will fall into place as we look at all the paperwork, logistics, ect. to get down there in the next month.
4. That I can find a job, hopefully in a NICU that will be close to the area we live
5. Greg to get started and learn the job quickly and easily, and that he will love it.
6. And finally that God will show us the church He would have us be a part of so we can meet some friends quickly, because in April, we are going to need some support!

Thanks again for your prayers, and as things happen I will do my best to keep the blog updated.
