***Breaking News on Rockytop***

Two weeks ago, I was awarded the opportunity to interview by telephone with a company in Knoxville called Perfect Serve for a paid part time/internship for the rest of the semester. This company is a physician contact network linking hospitals and practices in 138 markets across the U.S. I was nervous about this interview because I was having to miss my international finance class (toughest class this year). Jenn and I were excited about this opportunity though because she actually uses this service at work. The interview went well...I thought...

Well, I was selected out of several candidates to do an on-site interview with the Vice President of Marketing (Tom) on Thursday. The interview lasted 2 hours and was just a great conversation about the company and its short and long term goals. I was excited to talk about Papaw, Dad, Mom and Jenn as major influences in my pursuit toward a position with a health care company. One of the most amazing parts of my interview was when I got to speak about Grandaddy being a major influence in my life. I spoke about his hard work ethic, dedication to a career and his resilience! After I met with the VP, I sat down with a marketing analyst (Lauren) and talked about the details of the position. Again, I had to miss my international finance class because the interview went long, BUT I think it was worth it. As I stood up to walk out of the conference room, both Tom and Lauren met me at the door said they would like to extend an offer to me. I was shocked by such a quick offer. I expected to hear something maybe around Monday. Anyway, I thanked them for the offer and said I would like to take time to look at the terms of the offer. This led to a negotiation phase, which impressed both Tom and Lauren. After a few grueling hours of negotiation (haha), I accepted an offer on Friday! This position has the potential to roll-over into a full time position after graduation. Below is an excerpt from one my emails with the VP. This does not mean that the career search is over! Our MBA career fair is all next week, so I appreciate your continued prayers!

All of this to share the Lord's faithfulness in our lives!
