2009 has featured several visits to the ER and today Greg made his second for the year. After calling Dad to tell him Happy Birthday, Greg's left lower back began giving him trouble. In 2000, he had his first kidney stone and was rushed to the ER at Baptist Collierville where his mom was working and they rushed him in and treated him quickly. Today, he tried to wait out the pain until Jenn returned home from choir practice, but he was in too much pain. It is widely known that the pain felt from a kidney stone is equal to if not worse than labor pain. Jenn rushed home and picked him up and, once again, went to the ER. This experience was TERRIBLE! We arrived arond 4:30PM and got his first pain medication around 6:00PM which did not help much. Around 6:30PM he was given a room. They took a CAT scan and found several kidney stones in both kidneys. He is blaming his mom for inheriting this horrible medical condition! Just kidding mom! Tonight, he is at home with perscriptions to take if it becomes worse.

ReplyDeleteWhat wasn't on here is that while on Dilauded at the hospital he was asking me if pasta that is colored is the same as regular pasta and he also started blowing out imaginary candles. I have not laughed that hard in a while!!
